Upcoming Conference: American Educational Research Association (AERA) 2025

On April 23–27, 2025, the CE-IDEA team will present their ongoing work at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) conference in Denver, Colorado.

Project Co-PI Dr. Alexandra Aylward will present her research, “Enactment of Federal Disability Policy to Address Disproportionality in Special Education: Temporal and Spatial Variations,” as part of Division L: Educational Policies and Politics, Section 2: Legal and Judicial Issues for Equity and Access. Dr. Aylward’s work will be featured in a roundtable session titled “Critical Inquiries into Issues of Racial Disproportionality.”

Additionally, the full project team will present their research, “Equity-Focused Multi-Layered Empirical Examination of Racial Inequity and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act,” with the SIG-Special and Inclusive Education Research. This work will be shared in a roundtable session titled “Policy Perspectives on Inclusive Education: Global and Local Insights.”
